Nowicki, Sr., William “Bill” Robert, age 90, of Canton, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, after battling lung cancer. The son of Henry and Dorothy Nowicki, he was born on July 29, 1935 in Detroit. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lucille Ellen Nowicki; children, Wendy (Curt) Schoen, Joy Nowicki, Sally Peplinski (Brad Armstrong), Jeffrey (Maggie) Peplinski and Craig (Lanea) Peplinski; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Debbie Nowicki; many nieces and nephews, and his faithful feline companion, Sammie. He was preceded in death by his parents; children, William Robert Nowicki, Jr., Bonnie Blumgren and Alan Nowicki; brother and sister-in-law, Jerome (Lorraine) Nowicki, Richard Nowicki, sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara (Roy) Latham, Dorothy (Robert) Guzam, twin, Robert Nowicki; and first wife, Antoinette “Toni” Nowicki. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Angela Hospice.
